« Live from Obama/MacPherson/Merkley Election Parties | Main | Meanwhile… at John Branam's… »
Well, moments after I emerged from the “blogging can,” Jeff Bissonnette came right on up to me and struck up a conversation, just like any nice person who found a lonely looking odd-one-out at his party. He was very complimentary towards the Mercury’s election coverage, a compliment I returned by idiotically confusing Blumenhauer and Bradbury (motherfuck, I need to eat something!), which he gracefully handled by kindly mentioning that our Portland coverage is better than our state coverage. Naturally, I switched the topic to fashion, and he graciously met me halfway by telling me that he was wearing what has become known as “the sweater,” which appears in all of his literature, simply because he seems to look the most comfortable in it. He’s wearing it tonight for good luck, but as he said, in this race, “it’s going to be a long night.”
