Election 2008 New Campaign Ad from Charles Lewis

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Mon, May 12 at 11:41 AM

Here’s a sneak peak at Charles Lewis’ new campaign ad, set to start airing “tonight during the Daily Show and the Colbert Report,” Lewis says.

It’s a spoof on an old 70s commercial—but can you name which one? The answer’s after the cut.

I still have one of those hats made from Rainier beer cans cut open and laced together with bright orange yarn.

While Oregon is home to more micro-brews than anywhere else int he world, the good old fashioned union wage jobs the breweries used to provide are a sad loss.

No Henry's no Lucky (in Vancouver) no more Oly.

I like Charles and Novick running non-traditional post-ironic ads. At least they seem awake.

My sister and I used to imitate the rainer commercials
I still think they are amongst the best ever on television.
My favorite was the alien one, but I was real little.

my dad used to imitate this one when he drank it...
Charles is clever to play on our sympathies like that
Definitely going for the "regular people" vote
