Election 2008 1.5 Hours Until Ballots Are Due

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Tue, May 20 at 6:30 PM

You’ve got 1.5 hours to get your ballot to the nearest Multnomah County Library, or to the county elections office.

Some of tonight’s parties—like Sho Dozono’s—kick off at 6:30, so check back soon for rabid updates.

If you want to check the election results firsthand, here are some handy links to start obsessively refreshing at 8 pm:

Multnomah County Election results — for local races, and local numbers for state and national races

State of Oregon results — for state and national races

Then these guys all get their numbers from the sources above, but put them in easy to digest formats:

CNN’s Oregon presidential results

New York Times overall primary results

MSNBC’s Oregon results

And the Oregonian has been blogging all day long.

Oregon finally has a say. That’s what Sara Herrell, 34, is thinking this morning as she walked along Southeast Woodstock Boulevard with her two boys. She cast her vote for Barack Obama and is happy to know that her vote may actually count for something this time.

“It’s a pretty important moment for Oregonians,” she said.
