Hey, who likes that really hot chick from Death Proof?

Okay. Maybe I should be a bit more specific.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead is in negotiations to star opposite Michael Cera in Universal’s Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Edgar Wright is directing the adventure romance.

In Pilgrim, Winstead will play the dream woman of a young slacker (Cera). But the only way he can win her heart is by battling and defeating her seven evil ex-boyfriends.

Scott Pilgrim is a fantastic book. (Read our interview with creator Bryan Lee O’Malley here!) Edgar Wright is a great director. (Read our interview with him here!) And if you ask me, Mary Elizabeth Winstead—who was perfect in Death Proof, and wasn’t half bad in that last Die Hard—is an excellent fit for Ramona Flowers, the roller-blading delivery girl of Scott Pilgrim’s dreams.
