I’ve been hiding in a corner for the last hour, cranking out copy for the paper version of the Mercury
Here at the Jupiter Hotel, the party’s still going strong—as you’d expect for an outright victory party. Adams’ city hall and campaign staffers alike are no doubt relieved that they can stop campaigning, and focus on their regular work (and knock back a few drinks tonight). Plus—his staffers have secure employment for the foreseeable future!
Meanwhile, I’m too damn sober. I’m off to the bar—which is cash only, sadly—and then on to chat with my fellow political geeks. Finally, on to rontoms for the after-fest.
