Media Tribune Canning People—To Go One Day A Week?

Posted by Matt Davis on Thu, May 1 at 3:06 PM

The Portland Tribune has been reportedly canning newsroom people today, and may go one day a week. This, of course, is tragic news for everyone in Portland.

[laughs]

A call to editor Dwight Jaynes is yet to be returned. Sorry to those who may have lost their jobs. It’s a bad day for newspapers.

Comments

Damn... means I'll either have to make one issue last all week or start buying my own toilet paper again.

Dwight Jaynes isn't going to return your calls. He isn't alive. He hasn't written a fresh column since 1987. Fact.

You can't reach Dwight, the highest paid part-time sports reporter ever, because he's in Hawaii. Hope he's not getting sun burnt.

I'm sure he'll be back by October... can't miss a chance to wolf down the free Blazers buffet while pretending to be working.

New slogan: "Portland Tribune: Close to Bankrupt"
