Election 2008 We Have Numbers!

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Tue, May 20 at 8:09 PM

P.S.—the WiFi connection at the Jupiter Hotel sucks.

In Multnomah County only:

Hillary Clinton . . . . . . . . 39,307 36.09
Barack Obama . . . . . . . . . 69,051 63.39

Novick is over Merkley by 9,000 votes locally.

Sam Adams currently has 57 percent of the vote! That’s to Sho Dozono’s 34 percent. If it holds, he’ll win outright.

Amanda Fritz is leading the open city council seat race with 43.28 percent, with Charles Lewis behind her with 12.53 percent, John Branam has 11.93 percent, and Jeff Bissonnette has 11.54. The other two—Mike Fahey and Chris Smith—are just behind with 10 and 9. It’s anyone’s race at this point. Fritz looks clear to go to the runoff, but the battle’s on for spot #2.

Nick Fish is currently cleaning up with almost 62 percent, and Jim Middaugh has 21 percent. I’m not sure what the current voter turnout is—it’s tough to say how much wiggle room there is for those numbers to move much. Fish may have won this already.

There’s another local update slated for 8:45 pm.
