As has been documented elsewhere, The Shatman has a new book out. But to hell with that—I can guarantee you that this video is a billion times better than that book. OR ANY BOOK.
It consists of the following parts: The Shatman’s cover of Pulp’s “Common People,” footage from the legitimately awesome television program Star Trek: The Animated Series, and such careful and precise editing that it could obviously have only been created by a shut-in Trekkie who possesses entirely too much time and entirely too few blowjobs. (It’s also pretty appropriate for Pride Weekend, since this—like about 99.99 percent of fan-made Star Trek stuff—heavily relies on the forbidden, verboten love between Kirk and Spock.) Needless to say, it’s pretty amazing.
Thanks, io9.
'bout time someone made a video for this song! Loved it!
