World of Warcraft players will remember the hit “I am Murloc” as the tongue-in-cheek tribute to the beloved race of fish-people by Blizzard Entertainment’s house band, Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain. The thrash metal-style song debuted to delighted attendees at Blizzard Entertainment’s BlizzCon™ 2005 gaming convention in Anaheim, CA.

Why don't you link to whole thing? Let people know that it's a downloadable track for Guitar Hero 3.

I'm sure that some press release about transit taken out context will be similarly obsfucated.

Because it lacks the irony of the Murlocs. Murloks are pretty much the most hated NPCs in WoW.

Really, this is just one of the knee-jerk reactions that video-game enthusiasts get when their hobby is being made fun of. Even if it is deserved.
