MFNW Announces Nike Shows

MusicFest NW has announced the lineup for their super secret somewhat exclusive Nike daytime shows:

Thursday September 4th - No Age, Battles
Friday September 5th - Britt Daniel, Built to Spill (performing Perfect From Now On)
Saturday September 6th - Ratatat, Les Savy Fav

OMG! MFNW! LS SVY FV! NOAGE! RATATAT! All performances take place at the Wonder Ballroom (4:30pm doors, 5:30pm show), and to gain access, follow these instructions:

please pick up a free Nike Sportswear pass available at either Jackpot Records locations starting at 10 am on the day of each show or be admitted with a MFNW wristband. Admission to these shows will be based on a first come first serve basis.

Not to be outdone, the Mercury is teaming with British Knights for some totally badass concerts. In my basement. Okay, my mom's basement. Dymacel power!

End Hits: Once again, scooping WW on their own event.

Wow... MFNW is looking better and better.

I'm even wondering about the $150 Heinken pass. Immediate entry to all venues is a nice little bonus.

Sounds promising.

I'll be there, in drag, of course.

No, that's not what I mean, I mean in mufti, out of uniform, wearing civilian attire. I say, some people put the worst possible meaning on what a fellow says, what?

"I'll be there, in drag, of course."

Sorry, IAoS. I did not realize there were already a rash of copycats in early posts. If I could delete that last comment I would. No need to give you any more attention than your worth. It was Horse Shit. Even I am guilty on occasion. Plus this comment has absolutely nothing to do with the original post. That in and of itself is also Absolute Horse Shit. No more from me today. So long.

Les Savy Fav? Spoon? Built to Spill? It's 2000 all over again! "Indie Rock" is dead in the water.

AHS Guy - I hear what you are gelling. The new profile feature on this site seems to have unleashed something ugly... like, personality wars, or so. About every post contains a snark-fest in the comments, with big characters and egos, and desperate attempts at being the most critically hilarious.

I almost think I'd relinquish the use of my Tacos for America icon to go back to the a-little-less-annoying old site.

At any rate, BK basements shows sound sweet.

AHSG -- I say, chappie, appreciate your honesty. By the by, do any of your posts ever have something to say about the topics at hand? Or are they generally all personal attacks?

I tell you what, Dicky, why not check my profile where you can read all my comments and then judge for yourself.

The sad part is this comment will also appear there and it is absolutely way off of the topic at hand. I will say once more that the practice IS Horse SHIT and I do not plan on continuing this conversation. I'm done with you now, you may go.

After seeing Built to Spill live 3 times in the last year after them being one of my favorite bands over the last 8 years or so ruined them.

They are possibly the most disappointing live band I've ever had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing.

Garrett, that's probably because they're totally washed up at this point. BTS's best days are long past.

Les Savy Fav? Schtick personified. Have they ever written a decent song? Or are they now primarily known as a mediocre band with a singer who acts and looks like he just escaped from an insane asylum?
