Goonie Shoes: Would You Wear Them?

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Tue, Aug 5, 2008 at 10:11 AM

Puma has introduced a new pair of sneaks based on the classic flick THE GOONIES.

Called The Goonies Disc Blaze, the sneakers features a "twist tie" system instead of laces and will hit stores in December 2008. Sez Slashfilm...

The sneakers feature original artwork of the famous One Eyed Willie treasure map, in addition to the Goonies film logos on heel, sockliner and midsole and a silhouette of the Goonies and Sloth watching the pirate ship go down.

Yes, you love The Goonies... BUT WILL YOU WEAR THIS SHOE?

Besides the fact that its not 1985 anymore, they look like they came from some early 90's nightmare.

they're not "good enough for me"

Nearly bought a pair remarkably like these in '67 or '68 in Capetown. Glad I didn't then. Won't now, either.

Slow news day, eh, what?

I just started to cry. Is looks like human hair is coming out of them. A bunch of people designed this, thought it was a good idea, then a board of money makers thought it was a good idea too. I bet the poor sweat shop kids were like "this is horrible."
