Aragorn Isn't Fucking Around.

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Thu, Aug 7, 2008 at 1:00 PM

So we've already seen a few photos from The Road, John Hillcoat's adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's kickass book, which was partially shot right around Portland. But this still from the film, which came out yesterday, is the first one that makes me pretty certain I'd kill somebody, brutally if need be, if it meant I could watch this film as soon as humanly possible.

I mean, look at that. That's fucking dead on. That makes me want to reread The Road, like, tonight. That makes me want to watch The Proposition again, maybe right after I finish rereading The Road. That makes me want to run along that terrifying chunk of destroyed highway and give Viggo Mortensen a really enthusiastic high five.

Totes midnight showing! I'm also digging how closely USA Today's been following this production.
