I just got a voice mail from Contia Orsby, the lady whose car was towed by the cops in July, who was left homeless for six weeks.
"Thank you very much for the wonderful, awesome report," she said. "I feel lighter now. I can carry on. You took an extra load off my heart and soul. Thank you very very very very very much. You are awesome."
She said she showed the report to a teller in the bank, who promptly broke down crying. I'm not sure what to make of that, but it's nice to hear that the story made a difference at least to the person most affected by it. There's still no word on whether Orsby will be compensated for her ordeal by the city. While the cops, technically, were acting within the letter of the law, you'd think the city might want to do something to make it right. Or maybe they don't care.
Anybody at the city care to weigh in?
