Best. Robbery. Ever.

Posted by Matt Davis on Wed, Oct 1, 2008 at 2:32 PM

A Seattle man appears to have robbed a bank, recruiting unwitting decoys through Craigslist, before using an inner tube as a getaway vehicle to float down a nearby creak.

According to the Seattle Times the man robbed an armored car guard outside a branch of Bank of America yesterday morning, wearing a blue shirt and dust mask. He appears to have earlier used Craigslist to recruit a dozen more men to a fake "construction job" opposite the bank, requiring them all to show up wearing blue shirts and dust masks.

Police believe the man jumped into an inner tube and floated westbound in the direction of the nearby Skykomish River.Police say they later found the inner tube on the banks of Woods Creek, but no trace of the robber.

The cops are also saying the robbery "appears to have been fairly well planned." To the robber: If you're out there, would you call us? 503 294 0840. I'd like an interview.
