Project Runway Wrap Up!--What the Hell?

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, Oct 2, 2008 at 12:19 PM

I don't like it. I don't like it at all.

Find out what I'm griping about after the jump, and enjoy the view of Leanne's latest challenge:

What the hell!? NOBODY was eliminated from last night's episode of Project Runway despite the apparent national unanimity of everyone wanting to get rid of Kenley, including the bleary, fragile, and no doubt cripplingly sleep deprived contestants, who are no longer hiding their distaste for Kenley's rudeness and out-sized attitude. As a viewer, her tearful repetition about wanting to go to Bryant Park is also annoying since everyone with an internet connection already knows that everyone is going to Bryant Park. No suspense, dudes. In this episode Kenley also explained that people have hated her her whole life and seems to think that she has an inherited right to be loud and obnoxious because her father was a tugboat operator???? Anyhow, the challenge this week was difficult due to how much freedom the nervous designers had. They had to construct garments that were inspired by plants at the botanical gardens, and they all seemed like they bit off more than they could chew, including the winner of the challenge, Jerell:

This is the third win for Jerell, making him Leanne's biggest threat right now, but take comfort in the fact that at New York Fashion Week, Leanne was pretty much unanimously considered to have made the best showing, with a few nods thrown to Korto. Still, things are getting really, really tense here. And frankly I really feel for Kenley. I'm sure there are just as many members of her community in Florida sitting around bar televisions watching her suffer. But hey, that's show business.
