$700 Billion Heading to Wall Street

Our Saviors!

Well, they passed the Bailout Bill. The government would like to thank your family for the $6,500 that you donated to the cause and would like to reassure you that this is an investment. Which means that you should totally get that money back.... Definitely... Someday... Maybe...

I feel better already! I guess we can thank senators Smith and Wyden for this. If it weren't for them including tax breaks for manufacturers of "wooden arrows to be used by children," (most of whom are located in Oregon) I'm sure this thing would have never been pushed through the house.

God bless you children who use wooden arrows. You have saved us all.

Get it right. Wyden voted AGAINST the bailout, as did Blumenauer and DeFazio. Time to honor the statesmen and women who voted against the bill and refused to surrender to fear mongering by Gearge Bush and his appointees.

Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel.

Easy fix. Make it a rubber check.

DON'T PAY YOUR TAXES.

I don't think they added money in there for additional IRS enforcement if hundreds of thousands, or millions, of people decide not to pay their taxes- thereby making the bailout a rubber check, and forcing Congress to find someone other than taxpayers to borrow from.

Like China. Or maybe, just maybe, the corporations that caused the problem in the first place.

I wasn't saying Wyden voted for it, but he DID insert the "arrows for use by children" tax break. Which is strange that he would add that little nugget and not vote for it. Senators, can't live with' em, and you can't get 'em to vote like you want 'em 100% of the time.
