Books Readings Tonight!

Miriam Toews is at the downtown Powell's at 7:30 pm, reading from her excellent The Flying Troutmans, to which I give far less ink than it deserves here. (Troutmans was the fifth installment in Powells' Indiespensable series--the sixth package, Iain Banks' The Crow Road, ships Thursday, but you can still order it here.)
Or, if your attention span is better suited to cultural pan-flashes, just follow the sounds of ironic laughter to Powells' Hawthorne store for a reading from Stuff White People Like's Christian Landers at 7:30 pm (read our interview with Landers here).
And on the artsier tip, evironmental artist Buster Simpson is at PSU's Shattuck Hall Annex as part of the Monday night lecture series, 1914 SW Park, 7:30 pm, free
