I've voted in Iowa for the last four years and I knew knew KNEW it would come through despite Republican attempts to disenfranchise students. The state was much more politically savvy than you coast bound kids think it would be - I'll tell you, small farmers know their policy. Voting in Iowa is a wonderful event involving lots of eldery poll workers. "Voting was pretty much my favorite thing I've done all day," says my friend Sarah, a registered Iowan, "It was so exciting and fun and empowering. I really love the nice, patient older women poll volunteers who smile at me."
