Portland's favorite I-don't-care-what-it-is-I'll-protest-it-er, Teresa Teater, was in buoyant mood when I encountered her on SW Morrison earlier. Teater plans to sell buttons, bumper stickers, and Obama bags for $5 each to benefit the Oregon City Obama campaign. She proudly pulled out this life-size cutout of Obama that she'd got at Lippmans, and told me all about it.

"Dogs, babies, mothers, everyone's had their pictures taken with him," she says. "The worst thing has been the McCain people. I've had people call him the n word to my face, other people say 'not in my lifetime,' and one lady spit on the ground next to him at the Saturday market. I've had other people saying that their kids' first word was Obama..."

Have a great day, Teresa.
