Welcome to Portland, Guy

Rumor has it that the Food Network show, Dinners, Drive-In's and Dives, will be making a stop in Portland some time in the near future. This means that you'll likely see that bleach blond food freak, Guy Fieri, in your favorite local dive sometime in the near future.

Me? I don't have cable. So I'll just rely on this little show synopsis from the Food Network website:

Diners, Drive-ins and Dives are popular again thanks to faithful baby boomers, a slew of younger fans and a whole new generation of owners. Join Guy Fieri as he visits classic "greasy spoon" spots, from a roadside shack in Tarpley, Texas to a Las Vegas sports bar with stellar stromboli.

According to my sources, the network has called on both Holman's and Pine State Biscuits. Holman's probably won't make the cut, but I fully expect that Fieri will be chatting it up with the Pine State crew while they're folding their biscuit dough.

That sounds dirty for some reason.

I hope he goes to Pine State. That way I can can go and personally kick him in the nuts. Dude is a douche.

Wow-this guy is real? I always assumed he was some kind of holographic projection dreamed up by Focus Groups, ala Poochie on the Simpsons. It looks like someone threw up a Hot Topic on him.

I can't believe I'm saying this but, TGI Fridays, you could do better.

My dad called me last year to tell me that Byways was on this show and I needed to go.

I was at Byways the morning he was there. Difficult to focus on breakfast with cameras and spotlights everywhere. He just seemed like an absurd throwback to the 80s.
