Missing Child In NE Portland

Posted by Matt Davis on Fri, Nov 7, 2008 at 4:15 PM

From the cops:

School Police and Northeast Precinct officers have spent the last several hours looking for 11-year-old Jonathan Rios. Jonathan a autistic child who is currently in foster care. He was last seen at about 11:00 am, in the 7300 block of Northeast Siskiyou Street. Based on information from the foster family, Jonathan had been riding in the car with his foster father and was having a heated discussion about a video game which had broken. The foster father left Jonathan alone in the car and went into Roseway Heights School to pick up another child. When they returned, Jonathan was gone.

Jonathan is described as high functioning, but has low coping skills. He may appear very agitated or friendly and may make impulsive decisions. A search dog conducted a track to a bus stop on Northeast 82nd Avenue where it stopped. Officers canvassed the area and found no evidence of foul play. Jonathan has a history of running away.

Jonathan is 4'11" tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a yellow jacket, green shirt, jeans and white tennis shoes.

If you see him, do the family a favor and call the police.
