All The Fake News That's Fit to Print

Posted by Unpaid Arts Intern on Wed, Nov 12, 2008 at 1:01 PM

Today in Manhattan liberal pranksters The Yes Men handed out thousands of copies of a fake New York Times. The paper, dated July 4, 2009, features stories of liberal dreams come true; it leads with "IRAQ WAR ENDS" and continues with stories on topics like universal health care, free state college tuition, and maximum wage laws.

Be warned that this is no Onion, and there are no laughs. But the paper is interesting, and a bit inspiring. One day at least some of these headlines will be real, and seeing them now makes me all the more excited. Check the online edish right here. LS

props to Gawker for the pic
