Good Morning, News!

Posted by Amy J. Ruiz on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 8:01 AM

Showdown! McCain and Obama are scheduled to meet today, in Chicago.

Meanwhile, Team Obama is vetting Bill Clinton, "perhaps... the last obstacle to Hillary Clinton being named as Obama's secretary of state."

If you missed Obama's interview on 60 Minutes last night, here are some excerpts. Also! He may have to give up his BlackBerry!

Oh, crap: Citigroup's going to cut 50,000 jobs. That's 50 THOUSAND.

In Alaska, Democrat Mark Begich has taken the lead in his Senate bid against Ted Stevens.

The White House is critical of Congress' planned bailout of the auto industry. Hmm, I think I agree with the Bush Administration (omg, what is happening with the world?).

Want to start your day off right? Then avoid the comments on the Oregonian's story about the Prop 8 Protest on Saturday: "Some of you are confused as to your gender and natural sexuality. Your being Gay is not a civil right it is a choice to participate in immoral sexual behavior. It is just as immoral as having sex with a child, having sex with an animal, having sex with a relative etc."
