The last that I heard, the 18,000 $50.00 downpayments had turned into approx 16,000 fully paid season tickets.

MLS games can get a stadium some international exposure. They have followed the league in Argentina somewhat since a few of their more famous players (Schelotto, Lopez, Gallardo) arrived on our shores. And certainly most Swedes now know Seattle has a team, and most of Mexico knows that Chicago does.
