Portland Pinball Map: What Pinball Wizardry Is This?!

A few days ago, Ryan Gratzer of the "local pinball gang" the Crazy Flipper Fingers was kind enough to point me in the direction of the Portland Pinball Map—an interactive resource for finding out where every pinball machine is in Portland. An updated version of an old Google Maps page that local pinball players used for the same purpose, this new map is slicker and easier to use, and according to the CFF's site:

This new site has many fantastic search functions! And you can add comments on machines. And you can add and remove machines from locations. And you can put your scores next to machines, so we can track bounties and stuff.

Ah, yes. Gangs keeping track of bounties. That sounds safe.

Anyway, with the new map you can browse by game or by location: I just used it to find out what pinball machine is currently at one of my favorite bars, the Side Door (Lord of the Rings!), and I also discovered that a Johnny Mnemonic pinball machine (A) apparently exists(?!), and (B), can currently be found at Billy Ray's. Now if you'll excuse me, I just remembered that there's some... ah.. some business... there's... a meeting thing that I have to take off work for and go to Billy Ray's for. Later, suckers.

Oh! But before I go, this is probably the only chance I'll ever have to run this image, so I'm gonna take advantage of it.

DAMN STRAIGHT IT IS!

Portland Pinball Map here. Crazy Flipper Fingers here. Image at top of post via Ground Kontrol, which is here. (And here.)

Also, UPDATE, at 2:20 p.m.: I should've mentioned this earlier, but—probably because I was too excited by the idea of a Johnny Mnemonic pinball game—I didn't: The map was created by Gratzer and Scott Wainstock.

A disappointing fact for you all (and no one wants to believe me here, but the facts are there right in the dot matrix): the voice of Ice-T on Johnny Mnemonic is not done by Ice-T!

It sounds just like him, though.

Awesome resource, though it just reinforced my opinion that there are far too few Whitewater machines around Portland...

That's crazy talk Will.

#1. Whitewater
#2. Addams Family
#3. Medieval Madness

Family Guy and World Cup are up there too. I miss living in NW cuz that little convenience store on 21st by Muu Muu's was a great, convenient place for pinball.
