Spare a thought for our homeless friends in this freezing weather: Portland homeless nonprofit JOIN has been doing a blanket, tarpaulin and sleeping bag drive since Friday. Executive director Marc Jolin estimates they've had 400 blankets, sleeping bags and coats since then, but there's a real need, so drop your warm stuff—especially sleeping bags, at 3338 SE 17th ave, between 9-5 all this week.
