Mini-Reviews: Valkyria Chronicles

Posted by Earnest "Nex" Cavalli on Sun, Dec 21, 2008 at 5:01 PM

Since I have to play a fuckton of games on a daily basis and the Mercury has a limited amount of review space, a lot of games fall through the cracks. Consider this my (hopefully weekly) attempt at covering as many of these titles as possible. I'll mostly be choosing stuff that I've been enjoying recently, but if there is anything you want me to specifically review, let me know and I'll try to make it happen.

Valkyria Chronicles$60 — PlayStation 3

If you took my advice earlier this week and already purchased yourself a copy of Valkyria Chronicles, you already know how great it is. Be smug.

If you ignored me and instead spent your days playing in the snow or going slowly crazy, I pity you. Here's a game that's going to be impossible to find very soon, is easily one of the best exclusive titles on the PlayStation 3 AND could save you from all that messy cabin fever, and you're busy ignoring my advice.

I'd say I hate you if I thought "hate" was a strong enough word.

(Yes, normally the pluralized "reviews" would indicate more than one review, but thanks to Snowpocalypse 2008, none of the scheduled deliveries I've been expecting made it to my apartment. Hence, I've been playing one thing all week. Hence, a short mini-reviews column. Hence, I think my stove and refrigerator are plotting against me. Please help.)

It's too late! You should've followed my advice on whenever-that-day-was! The one with the snow!
