Now that it'll soon available on DVD (Jan 27), I'd like to sit down and watch Fireproof, but quite frankly I just don't think I'll be able to devote the time.

What's Fireproof, you ask? Uhh, it's only the number-one grossing independent film of last year, earning over $33 million dollars at the box office. Duh!

Actually, there's probably a good reason you haven't heard of Fireproof, which stars Kirk Cameron as a young fellow who is a fireman first and a husband second. From the film's website:

As the couple prepares to enter divorce proceedings, Caleb's father challenges his son to commit to a 40-day experiment: "The Love Dare."... While trying to stay true to his promise, Caleb becomes frustrated time and again. He finally asks his father, "How am I supposed to show love to somebody who constantly rejects me?" When his father explains that this is the love Christ shows to us, Caleb makes a life-changing commitment to love God. And with God's help he begins to understand what it means to truly love his wife. But is it too late to fireproof his marriage?
Aw shit yeah, now that sounds like a movie! But again, where oh where to find the time?

Thankfully, the makers of Fireproof realize that you don't need to spend two hours watching their movie. They've re-edited it, boiling it down to a mere 60 seconds for all of us heathens-on-the-go! You'll need to go here to watch it (I'd love to embed it, but it's not possible). Trust me, your eternal salvation is worth this precious moment of your time.

Thanks, Jesus!
