Adams' Education Stategies Coordinator Quits

Posted by Matt Davis on Fri, Feb 13, 2009 at 11:44 AM

Nate Waas Schull, Adams' Education Strategies Youth Coordinator, is quitting to go work for the Portland Schools Foundation. "We congratulate Nate on this exciting opportunity, and look forward to working with Nate to continue driving the city/county education agenda," says Adams' spokesman, Roy Kaufmann, who has also just released the following excerpt from Waas Schull's resignation letter: "I was recently offered an outstanding opportunity to take my youth advocacy to the next level as Community Engagement Director leading the Connected by 25 initiative at the Portland Schools Foundation. I look forward to fruitful collaboration with the Mayor's office in this new role and for years to come."

The resignation follows that of Adams' former spokesman, Wade Nkrumah, in late January. It's not clear what this means for the future of Youth Corps, Adams' planned summer outreach and education program.
