Good Grief

A scene from the upcoming Watchmen movie was released on the internet today (via the Sun). The clip is primarily concerned with Night Owl II (Patrick Wilson) and the Silk Specter II (Malin Akerman), who are doing what they can to release a passel of people from a burning building. After hearing Akerman's first two lines, my only reaction is: "uh-oh..."

See it on Defamer

Yeah, the acting I've seen (her's in particular) have been worrying me a bit. If it gets panned, I just won't see it. I'll read the book a couple more times instead.

There's actually four clips out here and there (I found them all in io9), and the acting is flat and/or skit-like in every single one of them.

Did you expect Hollywood somehow not to rape the shit out of this content just like they do with everything else?

Alan Moore is going to be pissed.

Oh wait... he already hates the movie and wants nothing to do with it.
