Dude, it's been five weeks. Perhaps "over a month" is a bit more accurate than "almost two months".

Why isn't there an option for:
"I'm upset about Adams' conduct still, but now I'm more peeved at the way fellow liberals (including the Mercury) simplistically dismiss my viewpoint. If I don't love Adams and his conduct and totally agree that self-righteous lying was the only option he had, I'm apparently homophobic, anti-sex, and in league with the frothing Hillsboro bigot rabble supposedly behind the effort to recall him. Being treated this way by my fellow liberals, after being manipulated and treated like I couldn't handle the truth by my otherwise like-minded mayor, really pisses me off."

This seems to be a pretty common position, but I can see where it might be a little wordy for a simple poll.

The communication style of Dick Cheney with the effectivness of Jimmy Carter- a winning combination!

P.S. Sorry Lenny, I know how you love alcohol and nighttime swimming, but our dolphin overlords will have to wait.

I could really go for a "I hate his economics, and I'll pretend I care about the scandal, if it gets him kicked out" option.

Yeah, and what the option that says:
"My name is Colin and I'm a whiny little ass who has just as nice a Subaru Outback as any of you."

A few of us would have chosen that one.

No Kiala, I always post under the name 'o Blabby. I'm brave enough to stand behind my inscrutable anonymous psuedonym.

It looks like the Portland Mercury readership is pretty tired of this issue. I'm... shocked?

I'd like to take this opportunity to reiterate that web polls are blatantly unscientific, and that nobody should pay any attention to them, regardless of the outcome.

(I've previously been wrongly criticized for decrying web polls which showed an anti-Adams result... well, at this moment in time, this new poll is showing overwhelming results that match with my own sentiments -- but it's still useless and web polls are bunk. So there.)

Two groups I find equally annoying are the homo-gays and the crazy-christians.

I just wanted Sam to get back to work...unfortunately he has become so ineffective that nothing is going to get done while he is in office. So sad!

As un-scientific at this poll is, I just glad the Mercury readers are more concerned with drinking and fucking than voting.

Had I been as concerned about those things when voting for Adams, I might of not cared about his fucking around on my dime. As it stands, I wasted a vote.
