A peek into the locker rooms and back halls of the Rose Garden after last night's loss to the Dallas Mavericks:

This is a fantastic idea for a video piece. I've covered the Blazers and gone back into the locker room, and Andrew's piece was a pretty accurate presentation of what it's like back there. Hello cement block!

One bit of advice/criticism: lose the music in favor of real audio, and try to cut down the jaggedness of the camera with some kind of quasi-steadycam device. The production quality just felt a little bit too bush league, but that could be easily corrected.

Overall, though, I'd love to see this become a regular segment.

Do all the reporters really just stand there with their cameras while the players are changing clothes?

@ Brian - Thanks. I filmed the think with a tiny phone-sized Flip USB recorder. I have a more regular camera and may bring it in the future. I also sped up many of the pieces. I also do interviews from time to time when there's something decent to ask as to get something better than the usual "both teams played hard." Last night was not one of those occasions.

@ Smithy. Yup. They just stand there. But Basketball players, unlike other sports, as I understand it, do a pretty good job keeping their wangs hidden under towels.
