Artsy Enter the Mercury "Easter Coloring Contest"!

While other newspapers are making drastic cuts to their annual "coloring contest" budgets, the Mercury knows that our annual "Easter Coloring Contest" is the only thing in our filthy rag that's worth a good god damn. Therefore, we're doing it again! So break out those crayons, and remember, it's open to all ages, plus the winner will have their artwork displayed on the cover of our April 9 issue, AND win a whopping 200 American Dollars!! Suck it, economic crisis!
Here are the rules:

• Download a high-res copy of our upcoming cover by clicking here.

• Print it out, and color the shit out of it. Use whatever medium you like, including crayons, acrylics, watercolors, chalk, the sacrificial blood of our Lord Jesus Christ... WE DON'T CARE! (Okay, maybe not snot, urine, or poop.)

• Mail your cover (flat, not folded) in a 12" x 15.5" envelope to "Easter Coloring Contest" c/o Portland Mercury, 605 NE 21st Ave, Suite 200, Portland, OR 97232.

• If you're a techno-nerd, you can also send a high-resolution digital file (300 dpi) to artdirector@portlandmercury.com or send it to our flickr group www.flickr.com/groups/portlandmercury

• Don't forget! This competition is open to ALL AGES! The deadline is FRIDAY, APRIL 3, at 5 pm!

What kind of document size is 9.8 x 13.5? WTF Merc, why are you using B4 paper for anything? Who owns that size of paper in America?

Who own that sized paper in America?
Only people like me.
To please the rest of America and the whole world, I just updated the pdf to print on your "typical" 8x10 sheet of paper.
Geez, live a little.
9.8x13.5 happens to be the size of Jesus's well-hung and sweetly arisen heart.

You could also put it in tabloid sized... I've got some of that around the office. I just didn't know that anyone in the US actually used ISO papers. I mean... I'd love it if we did. What with the ratios making sense.

Dear mercury arts director/editor/matt davis's baby sitter,

Please post EPS files so that I can use real software to edit the picture or something. PDF is lame. Real men use Illustrator.
