Free Food Cart Delivery Downtown

Posted by Matt Davis on Fri, Apr 3, 2009 at 2:12 PM

I was hanging around at the food carts earlier when this guy gave me a flier for his "free foodcart delivery" business. "D'you want to come and meet my friends?" he asked...

FORK'N'SPOON FOOD DELIVERY: (L to R) J.D Khar, Dusty Jones and Angelo Milici

"I got fired over the winter and I didn't really want to work for other people any more," says Dusty Jones, who came up with the idea. "I wanted to come up with one of those ideas that people come up with to make money, and I was like, 'food delivery!'."

Originally, Dusty Jones, who I'm just going to keep referring to by both names, because one name doesn't cut it, when you're called Dusty Jones, was thinking of delivering food to hospitals. But then she realized that by picking a specific area, she could target her market.

There's no charge for delivery, call 503 568 0004 if you live downtown and want a food cart item delivered. It's a tip based delivery service, so, you know...tip. They've got a "website," too.

It's the next Microsoft, this idea. I swear.

But will she brave burnside and dare enter old town/china town?

We crazy low-rent tech companies need our brunchbox sandwiches, too.

Go for it Dusty, Angelo, and J.D! Do you have seed money to start up and buy the food? What about menus. wow! i want some of Angelo's antipasto now!

Probably wouldn't make it to Wash. D.C. Huh?

Great picture, great idea! Best wishes and lovies, Dorothy Copps
