Boy Eats Drum Machine Gets Ready for the NBA Playoffs

Cue the horns! Jon Ragel/Boy Eats Drum Machine has contributed his very own take on the Blazers theme song, and it's far superior than the other "official" versions—cough, Western Aerial, cough—out there. If the franchise knew what was good for them, they'd use Ragel's work next year, or at least, get the guy to sing the National Anthem, then breakdance with the Portland Trail Breakers.

Someone needs to write the new "Bust a Bucket" or "Can I Get A Headband," who's up for that? What rhymes with Raef LaFrentz?

LISTEN:

Boy Eats Drum Machine - "Blazers Theme"

End Hits: It's time someone makes another one of these.

Sounds like it could have been the theme song for a blaxploitation film. Lol. Ya dig?

Nobody needs to write the new "Bust a Bucket" because that gimmicky shit was the corniest. Trying to capture that particular lightning in a barrel/turd on a front lawn leads to things like this:

That said, Joe Becker is a pretty cool guy. But the Blazers don't need a theme song.
