I, personally, do not see anything wrong with using any thing you can to get information out of terrorists about any planned terrorist acts. Anyone who targets children and other non-combatants doessn't get any sympathy from me. It seems that using drugs would be better than outright physical torture would be more humane, but then, terrorists aren't humane either. I guess now I will wait for everyone to jump on me for my views, but thats' the way I feel.

Torture is bad for interrogations because the information is always unreliable. People will say anything to stop their torture; it's just never the right information.

It's been studied that most terrorists are fringe types looking to feel a sense of belonging within a cause and the torture serves to reinforce their beliefs in the cause through a sense of martyrdom. Under torture the people lie almost every time.

But aren't there some drugs that will make a person tell what he knows without lying? Or have I been reading too many spy novels. And by the way, where was all this outcry about torturing people when the Viet Cong was abusing our G.I.s? And the televised be-headings?
