The Nine Trailer is Out

Posted by Marjorie Skinner on Thu, May 14, 2009 at 2:50 PM

Aaaaand, trailer mania continues....

If you loved Chicago (mememe!), then you're probably sticky with excitement for director Rob Marshall's next trick, Nine. I'm sorry, but Fergie and Sophia Loren in the same movie? That's some kind of breach in the time/film continuum. Plus Daniel Day Lewis, Marion Cotillard, and Penelope Cruz? And Judi Dench, Nicole Kidman, and freaking Kate Hudson? Mega.

I like the material and most of the cast.

Too bad Rob Marshall can't film a number to save his life.

So isn't this a musical version of Fellini's 8 1/2, more or less?

Why are they hiding the voice of Daniel Day from us? Is he still concocting a voice to wow us like he did with Daniel Plainview?

I hope he sings the line from the 8 1/2, "I really have nothing to say, but I want to say it all the same."
