Film Herzog + Nicolas Cage + Bad Lieutenant = SHIT YES.

Werner Herzog's new film is a Bad Lieutenant movie starring Nicolas Cage.
I'm just gonna let this (NSFW?) trailer speak for itself, because god knows I can't do it justice.
I've watched that thing three times now and my brain is still short-circuiting and spasming like it's been tasered. Nothing makes sense anymore, and all I know is that I want to watch this thing yesterday.

Yeah, I had no earthly idea what to make of this when I saw it earlier. Of it, Warren Ellis tweeted: "This cannot possibly be a real film. I must be missing something."

what the fuck happened to him? "Vampires Kiss"? "Valley Girl"? "Moonstruck"? He used to be brilliant. How far the mighty fall.....

This is the closest he's come to those highs in years. It was stupid to make this as a remake (its one in name only), but Herzog + Cage unleashed is some kind of gold, even on terrible DV.
I don't know Erik. Nic Cage? I just don't know. Though I did like the Roseanne theme music playing through the last half of the trailer.
Why does Nick Cage shave his sideburns now? He looks like an eight-year-old in the skate-boarding helmet that mom makes him wear.
Um, I just finished watching that and WTF? It's too elaborate to be a joke, isn't it? Strangling an old lady who can barely act? God, I'm embarrassed for all of Hollywood right now.
