That headline totally came across wrong. But here's an important opportunity for you if you happen to be a business owner or manager here in town. In last month's Mayor or Monster feature we wrote about Mayor Sam Adams' plans for a summer Youthcorps program over the summer. The idea is to organize summer jobs, recreational activities, college visits and workplace internships for thousands of local youths.

If you are an employer and can host a "business visit" for a group of students to come and learn about what you do, call Reese Lord at 503 823 4027 for more information. The Youthcorps program is also looking for volunteers to spend a few of their summer days accompanying youths on their career and college site visits.

Just try to stay out of the restrooms.

I don't believe that usage is strictly British. Sadly, a lot of Americans can barely speak English. They won't recognize it. Either that, or I've been listening to too many BBC podcasts and reading too much Terry Pratchett.
