Trailer Roundup: Park Chan-Wook's Vampire Flick! Roland Emmerich's 9,000th Film About Buildings Exploding! Bilbo Baggins Interviews James Cameron!

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Thu, Jun 18, 2009 at 5:11 PM

FIRST: Park Chan-Wook is the genius behind the amazing Oldboy and Lady Vengeance (and the only slightly less-amazing Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance), and now he's made a vampire flick? Shit yes. (Via AICN.)

SECOND: Roland Emmerich—the auteur behind 10,000 BC, The Day After Tomorrow, Godzilla, Independence Day, Stargate, and Universal Soldier—destroys the world yet again in 2012. I think I might be a sucker for wanting to see this, but I want to see this. Goddamn, I love watching shit get wrecked.

THIRD: No, this isn't a trailer, but I can't stop watching it. From the hobbit ears to Cameron's facial expression to that dude on the stilts, this whole thing is just... well, yes, actually, "magical" is the word I'm looking for.

GawdDAMN! Emmerich knows how to asplodiate, crush, and break everything better than anyone!

He is our generation's Irwin Allen.

True that.

Alien 5: Ships from Earth

I agree with you Mr. Klein. Felt like I was getting impaled by the USS Kennedy just watching it.

Thank you James Cameron.
2012 is looking pretty intense......even with John Cusack who has grown increasingly wooden over the years.

I love end of world films, and the worse the acting the better I rate them. In this case it looks like I'm in for a great time as there appears to be nonstop overacting by both humans and elements in this film!
