Fox Just Comes Right Out and Says It

Posted by Anthony Hecht on Wed, Jul 1, 2009 at 11:38 AM

Glenn Beck guest Michael Scheuer thinks "the only chance we have as a country right now is" for bin Laden to "detonate a major weapon" in the U.S.

Beck's reaction? He just nods right along, and then allows that he was just "thinking this weekend" about the same thing, and how if HE were bin Laden, attacking the U.S. would be the "last thing he would do," because that's just what we want. Osama bin Laden, you see, is way too smart to kill millions of Americans when all that would do is make us kick ass. It all makes perfect sense.

We should bring back the alien and sedition acts. Not really, but there should be open season on crazy people who say stuff like this. Like, punches in the face. Unfortunately, us liberals are scared of fighting, so that will never happen. Wait, maybe we shouldn't admit we are scared of fighting. Maybe we can bluff them.

Republicans do want that excuse. They wanted it so much, they committed 9/11. (Not bin Laden, silly.)

Boy, Beck sure has gone down hill since he did that "two turntables and a microphone" song.

It's not "Fox" saying it - it's loony Glenn Beck. Do you hold MSNBC responsible for everything halfwit Olbermann says? Do you hold CNN responsible for everything assface Rick Sanchez says? (Or doesn't say.) Learn the difference between the editorial voice of a network and one talk show host. But then, being logical about it wouldn't serve your purposes, would it?

> They wanted it so much, they committed 9/11.

Oh sweet.. Truthers here, too. Republicans? I thought it was Zionists. Or was it the World Bank? Hard to keep it all straight.

Fox seems to be up to its eyeballs in crazy-town voices, be they "opinion" or news people. The network is saturated with opinions not much better than the one highlighted here. I think its fair to say Fox News is the warmonger, xenophobic reactionary nut-bag network. Just as MSNBC is the becoming the angry liberal network.

That would be great and all, but FOX pays their salaries and obviously profits from the statements. Enablers, and all.

Not that Democrats or the left is ANY better.
