Portland / News RIP Bonnie Tinker

Blue Oregon is reporting that raging granny Bonnie Tinker was killed yesterday in a bike accident in Virginia. Tinker put most Portlanders to shame when it came to standing up, or sitting down, for what she believed in, and she has appeared regularly in this paper's news section since I joined three years ago. Guts are a rare quality these days, and she had them. She'll be missed.

Give 'em hell in heaven, Bonnie.
Bonnnie was a rare individual who had great integrity. Her words matched what she did. I do not know where her energy came from. I wish that I was that passionate. I will never forget Bonnie, and I am promising right now to do something that is out of my comfort zone in order to make the world a more just and equitable place.
