Trailer for Big Fan.

Posted by Erik Henriksen on Tue, Jul 7, 2009 at 1:14 PM

Admittedly, this trailer does that goofy "Look at what an Oscar contender I am!" thing for entirely too long (I'd be happy if this thing was a minute shorter, and didn't have Manohla Dargis telling us how "terrific and fearless" Patton Oswalt is), and I'm not sure it's a good thing that it's the "directorial debut from the acclaimed writer of The Wrestler," since The Wrestler's ham-fisted script was the weakest part of an otherwise excellent picture. But still: I'll be goddamned if I won't be at the the theater on Big Fan's opening day.

Fucking horrible trailer for what will probably prove to be an excellent film.

Patton Oswalt is so awesome, even this trailer can't make me think badly of him.
