District 9 —director Neill Blomkamp's first feature, and one inspired by his kickass short Alive in Joburg—is a film I can't wait to see. A short teaser came out a little while ago; today, a longer trailer hit the internet. It's bigger and louder than the last one, and it gives a far better idea as to how District 9 will flesh out and play off of the ideas established in Alive in Joburg. It's also just kind of insane—weird and cool and intriguing and sad and unexpectedly action-y—and fucking A, I just want it to be on a movie screen in front of me already.

Holy crap, that is the best trailer I've ever seen. If the film lives up to it, I'd say it might draw comparisons to Alien as an atmospheric science fiction film.
Yea, wow. Pretty hard to live up to that first teaser but this looks just as good. This movie is gonna be amazing.
This will probably be one of the best sci fi films to make it to the big screen in a long time. It is making it to the big screen, isn't it? Please?
I saw this yesterday too, and I must say that i'm thoroughly impressed. Hopefully the movie lives up to the trailer so that Blomkamp and Jackson actually get to make the HALO movie. Although, if this movie rocks enough, who needs a HALO movie?
I saw this trailer in the theater a few weeks ago and it gave me the biggest boner! I couldn't wait to see it.
The GI JOE trailer followed and my boner instantly wilted.
