Buried in the avalanche of material the Attorney General's office made public after it wrapped up the investigation of Mayor Sam Adams earlier this month are all the internal AG office emails about the investigation.

I blogged about some of the more newsworthy ones last week but have been wondering what to do with the best ones in the pile—the ones containing off-the-cuff remarks about Adams and strange constituents.

I figure, hey, it's about time we post them for your reading pleasure. Enjoy! The following emails are between AG office staffers and each other or regular citizens writing in. Tony Green is AG John Kroger's communication's director, Harry Wilson is an assistant attorney general (one of about 300), Ben Unger is John Kroger's special assistant, Julie Rutherford works in constituent and legal affairs, Jan Margosian is a consumer and constituent contact for the office.

He wants Kroger at noon. he initially asked about Adams. then said he wanted to talk to him about ICAC. Josh has always said not to trust Lars. We've had an unofficial policy of no Larson until Adams is done. Any reason to change that?

No, I am not all that interested in going on Lars at all, but especially right now.

Hi:
What specific date is the Attorney General going to release his report on Mayor Sam Adams?
Pursuant to DAS policy a response is due within 24 hours time.
Thanks,
Darrell

Julie—as I recall, you are handling the Sam Adams letters. Is there a DAS policy of 24 hours? never heard of that one. If someone else is handling these inquiries, let me know so I don't bug you. Jan

I'm not sure about the 24 hour policy, but we have no comment on any Adams inquiries. Feel free to respond, or I can if you prefer.
This is a hilarious email by the way :)

Ms. Rutherford:
Not an acceptable answer. The people of the state of Oregon are not going to pander to the politics of the Attorney Generalís office. He has had the investigation for several months time. He should be able to place a finite date as to when his investigation will conclude. Did you personally ask the Attorney General re my question? Or, has this ìresponseî been the ìspinî to the people to date?
Thanks,
Darrell
