Umm… Please Stop Calling Me "Butt-Horn"

Posted by Wm.™ Steven Humphrey on Tue, Jul 28, 2009 at 5:51 PM

Here's another nominee for our first Blogtown Meet-Up Movie Night (in which we plunk down outside somewhere with some booze, lawn chairs and a projector/screen—stay tuned for details). It's 1988's Bulletproof starring Gary Busey—in which Gary Busey is like… umm… bulletproof, I guess. And he rescues a tank! And he calls people "butt-horn," like, a lot.

Got some Blogtown Meet-Up Movie Night suggestions (including locations)? Leave 'em in the comments below!

That looks like a pretty amazing movie, don't get me wrong. I feel it is my responsibility to ask though, is it Wild Zero amazing?

Allow me also to point out that this is a Rock'n'Roll JET-Movie, which would make it a Blogtown Meet-Up Rock'n'Roll JET-Movie Night (a much better type of night).

There is also, of course, an associated drinking game:

A Cat-Wolf would like to second the suggestion of Wild Zero.

Maybe make it a double feature with Happiness of the Katakuris and take over Tanuki for the night?

I would like to suggest 'Vertical Limit' starring Christopher O'Donell.

May I suggest the classic that nobody saw... Ishtar. The movie rules & the haters didn't see it. I have a dvd, although it was never released here. Dustin Hoffman as the ladies man, Warren Beatty as the shy, uncomfortable nerd. C'mon.

Oh my god. I'm so glad the movie night was chosen. This is going to be bad fucking ass! Might I suggest Invasion USA, in which Chuck Norris fights a cuban invasion? There are at least two scenes in which he puts a live grenade down an enemy's pants. Oops. SPOILER ALERT!! #doingitwrong

Today is Ducknesday, so of course I vote for Howard the duck, which, by the way, was played on one of Comcasts ancillary channels this week. I just managed to see the last third of it. Howard rocks.

I suggest Joneser's house for a location.

No way, man. I don't want the internet to know where I live, drink all my booze, and steal my cats.

Joneser: Better than knowing where your booze is, drinking your cat, and stealing your house though, isn't it?

There's always the handball court at Laurelhurst (which is coincidentally where I do my drinking and cat stealing). Or any handball court anywhere I guess.

Ice Age 1 & 2 and Open Season. All three are funny.
