Film So... Who Likes Some Giant Robots?

Amongst anime nerds, the phrase "Neon Genesis Evangelion" is spoken with giddy reverence—and for good reason. So I have some good news for you, Evangelion fans: We've got a bunch of passes for an advance screening of the big-screen Evangelion 1.0: You Are (Not) Alone here at the Mercury offices. If you want to grab a pass or two, swing by the offices (605 NE 21st Ave, Suite 200) during normal business hours. They're at the front desk; first come, first serve.

Evangelion 1.0 opens on Friday at the Living Room Theaters (341 SW 10th), but the advance screening is Wednesday, August 19, at 7:30 pm. You will need a pass to get in, though, so it's probably a good idea to come by the office sooner rather than later if you want to go.

15 years old and they still milk that franchise, huh? Although the prospect of seeing this again long after I loved and then got over Evangelion does sound like fun.

mmmm. Me love some robot on monster action. But why, oh why all the talky talky talky? bah! Just go BOOM and BLAM and PEW PEW PEW. Ahhhh...when I rule the world...

McAngryPants there are plenty of anime robot action films out there without the awesome plot arcs, character development, and metaphorical themes that make Evangelion great.
