Portland / TV "I want to give him...a stadium..."

You know how Sunday night's Mad Men featured a rich boy, trying to start a new sport, using his rich father's money? Did that scene in the restaurant where he's basically lost it, talking about it being the "new baseball", strike a chord with anyone else here in Portland? I'm trying to figure out if the writers may have even had their eyes on our city when they put it together. Some of the lines were uncanny.

No, but the multiple scenes where the new British employee gets laughed at and crapped on behind his back for being useless by everyone else at Sterling Cooper certainly sounded like the writers had their eye on the Mercury office when they put it together. Uncanny indeed.

Characters appear to be loosely based on real people, Richard Berenson and son Buddy. Patxi was also a real jai alai star.
