Mayor Sam Adams plans to meet with downtown retailers tomorrow morning between 8 and 10am, under Pioneer Square. I've been asking for the details of the meeting for the last nine days, ever since Adams met with advocates for the homeless to discuss possible replacements to the sit/lie law. Several phone calls, two Tweets, and a personal entreaty later, I finally got a call back just now confirming the exact(ish)location—"in one of those conference spaces under Pioneer Square." I plan to arrive five minutes early and seek out the "retail town hall," and promise to report on it. No word on whether the meeting is open to the public—it's been scheduled for a while, according to the mayor's spokesman, Roy Kaufmann. But sit/lie is likely to come up.
