"Democrats Have To Have Guts."

Posted by Matt Davis on Thu, Oct 1, 2009 at 11:57 AM

Alan Grayson. Remember the name.

Republicans are "foot-dragging, knuckle-dragging neanderthals" on health care.

"The Republicans have nothing even remotely resembling a plan."

Grayson 2012? There is my knee jerk reaction.

The really interesting part of this isn't Grayson..although he's awesome. It's the gaggle of media people who shamelessly flaunt their disdain for him and try to box him into some sort of apology.

Good gawd they suck.

Geez, it's about time some in the Democratic majority grew a pair.

Saying that the Republicans advocate that people should "die quickly comment" is hardly fair.

If for instance you get into a Terri Schiavo situation without the right kind of health insurance, the Republican panacea is that you should malinger along in a state of near death until your in your family is bankrupt (or the proceeds from neighborhood bake sales can no longer support you, ala the Coburn approach). Then you can die.

This fucking douchebag compared Republicans stance on healthcare to the Holocaust. He's a first-term congressman from Florida who BARELY got elected, and he throws out the term HOLOCAUST. Does this idiot know who his constituency is? Hint: Old Jewish retirees who don't want Obama's health care plan, and who don't like people loosely using the term HOLOCAUST. He better hope he has the stuff to run for National office if he wants to continue his career in politics. Because his political career in Florida is over.

So one Florida politician references the Holocaust (Grayson) to his impending detriment and another prospective Florida politician (Lou Holtz), who called Hitler a "great leader," is solicited by (of course) the republican party to run for congress? How must such an expert on Florida politics reconcile this?

He didn't compare the Republicans stance to the Holocaust. He said our health care situation is comparable to a holocaust (little "h"), because tens of thousands die each year needlessly due to lack of/or poor health care.

So fuck you buch-bag.
